Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey is coming to Mitt Romney’s old turf in Boston next month for an exclusive high-dollar fund-raiser.
Christie will attend a private dinner on March 1 for 25 to 30 people, who are being asked to donate $3,800 each to the governor’s reelection campaign, according to a copy of an invitation to the event obtained by the Globe. The location has yet to be announced.
“As you may know, he is up for re-election this November and his race will be one of the most closely watched and competitive races in the country this cycle,” Steve Roche, a local fundraiser who is helping to organize Christie’s event, wrote in the invitation. “He could certainly use our help.”
