Boise State University totaled more than 1.1 million visits to campus during the 2008-2009 school year for an array of academic, cultural, entertainment and sporting events.
Beyond the flow of 6,500 daily visitors, the newly expanded Student Union Building with its conference facilities and ballrooms drew 261,344 people. The Campus Recreation Center served 269,431 students, faculty, staff and alumni with its fitness facilities.
Bronco Stadium and the Caven-Williams Sports Complex attracted 311,490 sports enthusiasts to events at the signature blue field. Taco Bell Arena had 216,212 patrons. Marquee events included the NCAA basketball tournament, university and high school commencement ceremonies, Bronco basketball, Disney on Ice and musical headliners such as Kelly Clarkson and Reba McIntyre.
The Morrison Center for the Performing Arts celebrated its silver anniversary in 2009 with 45,438 visitors for performances by the Boise Philharmonic, Trey McIntyre Project, the Fred Meyer Broadway in Boise series, Jim Brickman and entertainment by Boise State music and theatre arts departments.
Boise State’s campus population is the largest in Idaho with more than 19,000 students and 2,300 faculty and staff members.
